Where else can you find glorious gifts and exceptional exhibits under one roof if not here? The grand two double-storey buildings, which make up Galeria Perdana, houses a remarkable collection of over 2,500 gifts and awards given by eminent world leaders to Malaysia's Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Datin Seri Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali. The Galeria Perdana was establish in line with Tun Dr. Mahatir's belief that the collection belongs to the people of Malaysia and Government. Through these gestures of friendship from all over the world visitors will have the opportunity to appriciate the uniqueness and diversity of various arts and culture portrayed.
Galeria Perdana consists of 3 interconnected two storey of oriental architectural design buildings in Kilim, 11km from Kuah Town. The exhibits displayed are diverse in nature to achieve the ambience of a harmonious and creative interaction among the various artistic, cultural values and aesthetics portrayed by the numerous exhibits from all over the world. Among the exhibits are gifts made of crystal, wood, leather, silver, copper, pewter, ceramics and glass. Outstanding designs of musical instruments, Islamic arts and craft, textiles and weapons are also displayed here in addition to the larger ones like various prototype cars and four-wheel drive vehicles.
Don't despair if photography is not allowed inside the gallery because perfect snapshots of the displays are on sale at the souvenir shop.

| Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) connects Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar and Arau towns in Kedah. From these towns, you can catch a taxi or a bus easily to Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis respectively and catch a ferry to Langkawi. Please contact KTMB at 603-22747435. |

| By Road From the North South Expressway (NSE), head north to Kedah and take the Alor Setar Selatan exit (Interchange 177) onto the highway headed to Teluk Kechai and on to Kuala Kedah where you can catch a ferry to Langkawi island. Alternatively, you can also catch ferries from Kuala Perlis further north, accessible via the Jitra Selatan exit (Interchange 181) via Kodiang and Kangar on trunk road K3. This route is longer at 48km from the NSE exit. Galeria Perdana is located in Kilim, about 11km from Kuah town (10 minutes drive). |
