|
Gua Langsuir or Cave of the Banshee is located near Tasik Dayang Bunting, on the western coast of Pulau Dayang Bunting. This cave located some 91m above ground is home of thousands of bats, and is full of shadowy corners. This cave is recommended only for serious cavers with mountain climbing experience as the ascent to the cave demands great climbing skill and absolute physical fitness.
There is a surprising absence of stalactites and stalagmites within the cave. Instead, the huge gloomy chambers are filled with lurking shadows, reinforcing the superstition that the cave is haunted by the spirit of a woman who, like Dracula, lives on the blood of humans.
