Situated off Jalan Buloh Kasap, Istana Hinggap is a royal heritage of Segamat that has become an important landmark. It used to be a favourite resting palace for Sultan Ibrahim during his hunting trips.
Close to the Istana Hinggap, along Jalan Buloh Kasap, you will find the Segamat High School, Masjid Jamek Segamat, Tai Pui Sui temple and Sri Mahamariamman temple and St. Philip Catholic Church.

Getting There
By Bus
Transnasional Bus (Tel: 603 - 20703300) provides hourly bus trips from Kuala Lumpur to Segamat.
By Rail
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (Tel: 03-2267 1200) provides several train passages daily to Segamat.
From the North South Expressway (NSE), take the Tangkak exit (Interchange 235) onto Highway 23 headed to Segamat about 55km from the exit. From Segamat town centre, get onto Jalan Abdullah which will join Jalan Buloh Kasap. You can also catch a taxi to take you to the Istana Hinggap and the other places of interest around the area.
