Exploring the wonders of science and technology can be a lot of fun, contrary to some beliefs! PETROSAINS is an interactive Science Discovery Centre that presents a story of science and technology of the petroleum industry in an enjoyable way. The concept and content not only revolve specifically around petroleum science, but also embrace all other aspects of general sciences.

The Centre is designed as a modern museum that allow you to interact with the exhibits on display. You can begin your visit with a fascinating ride and then proceeds in a linear sequence through 7,000 square metres of exhibit area featuring interactive exhibits, fun activities and displays. The front-line personnel will act as guides, presenters and demonstrators as well as facilitators to ensure your enjoyment and learning experience are maximised.

It is located at PETRONAS Twin Towers, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Entrance to PETROSAINS is through Level 4, Suria KLCC, which is accessible via various modes of public transport. The mall also boasts ample parking for private vehicles. Another nearby attraction is the Aquaria KLCC, showcasing some of the most captivating aquatic life from Malaysia and throughout the world.

The operating hours are from: Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 9.30 am - 6.30 pm Last admission is at 5.00 pm)

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9.30 am - 5.30 Last admission is at 4.00 pm)

Friday: 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm Last admission is at 4.00 pm). Open on all public holidays with the exception of Hari Raya Puasa and Hari Raya Haji.

Entrance Fees:
Adult RM 12.00
Youth (13 - 17 Years) RM 7.00
Children (5 - 12 Years) RM 4.00
Children (below 5 Years) Free of charge
Senior Citizen (Above 55 Years) RM 6.00

Getting There
By Bus
Intrakota Bus No. 270 from Central Market, and No. 24A & 34A from Chow Kit
By Rail
Putra LRT from Terminal Putra to KLCC
• Intrakota Bus - 23, 24A, 24C, 34A, 34D, 259, 270.
• City Liner Bus - 176, 178, 182, 183, 185
• MetroBus - 28

The PTT is easily accessible via taxi, bus or LRT. Board an Intrakota bus from Star Hill at Jalan Bukit Bintang or from Jalan Chow Kit, or a City Liner bus from Jalan Silang (next to Kotaraya Complex). The drop-off points for these buses is Wisma Equity, Jalan Ampang (opposite the PETRONAS Twin Towers). You can also take the PUTRA LRT from Central Market (Pasar Seni) or KL Sentral station to the KLCC station. Alternatively, you can catch a taxi from anywhere around town to go to KLCC.
