Literally translated, Pulau Indah means beautiful island. And for the many visitors who have been to the island, indeed it is with its traditional Malay kampungs (villages), its unhurried way of life and the lush green surroundings.

Today, Pulau Indah is fast becoming the centre of development in line with the Selangor State Government's effort to transform it into a centre for eco-tourism, commercial and industrial importance.

It is also the location of Klang's new and successful West Port and a cruise terminal.

From Kuala Lumpur, once can take a bus, taxi or train to Port Klang. From Port Klang, the bus journey to Pulau Indah takes about an hour.
