Tanjung Leman Beach

"Watch white hornbills while enjoying the warm breeze on Pantai Tanjung Leman. 'A jumping off' point to the islands."

Tanjung Leman is better known as the ‘jumping off’ point to the islands of Pulau Sibu and Sibu Tengah. Located about 72km south of Mersing, the beach is quite far off from the main road, which makes it a little difficult to find. However, the beach is served by a jetty and chalets.

Kayaks are available for those wishing to venture out beyond the shoreline. Snorkelling is worthwhile as there are nice corals around. The beach is also a good spot to watch some white hornbills flying above.

Chairs and shades are plenty for those who just want to have a quick escape  from the hustle and bustle of city life with families and friends.

Getting There
Head for Mersing town or Kota Tinggi town. From Mersing town, travel south along the trunk road. About 44km from Mersing town, turn left. The road, passes through an oil palm plantation, is narrow and winding in certain parts.

From Kota Tinggi town, travel north for 48km and turn right to the same junction mentioned above.
