Day 01 Arrival – Kuching City & Shopping Tour (D)

Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, meet and greet by our friendly representative and proceed for KUCHING CITY & SHOPPING TOUR. Kuching, the Capital of Sarawak, is a cosmopolitan city and this is reflected in the faces on the street. Its city centre is well preserved with ornate Chinese Temples, The Astana, City Tower, many fine examples of colonial-style architecture a beautiful waterfront and a number of interesting museums, including the famous Sarawak Museum & Cat Museum. Other places of interest include the famous landmark of the City, the Cat Monument, Market, Main Bazaar, China Town, Old State Mosque & etc. Kuching is a good destination to shop for souvenir such as woodcarvings, “Pua Kumbu” with native design and Pepper products. Sarawak Bird’s Nest Factory and Local Product Centre are also one of the famous souvenirs which can be found in Kuching. Dinner is provided. After dinner, transfer to City Hotel of your choice for check in and overnight.

Day 02 Semenggoh – Crocodile Farm – Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse - Sarawak Pottery Factory (B / L)

Breakfast at the hotel, morning proceed to visit SEMENGGOH NATURE RESERVE, The reserve traveling overland (30 min) followed by a brief hike through dipterocarp forest. Unlike in a Zoo, the Orang Utans are set free in a 740-hectare forest reserve. Here, young Orang Utans, who were either orphaned or rescued from captivity, are trained to survive in the wild. The Sanctuary is not set up as a tourist attraction but visitors are most welcome. Upon arrival at the nature reserve, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the Orang Utans during their feeding time. Spot their delicate nests watch their skilful movements at the treetops and also their interesting behaviour during feeding time. The guide will also narrate to you the behaviour, emotion and characteristics of this special primate called Orang Utan, meaning ‘Man of the Forest’.

Continue the journey to visit CROCODILE FARM & MINI ZOO. The farm set amidst tropical fruit trees and lush-greenery is a home to over 1,000 crocodiles. It serves as a perfect sanctuary to these fearsome reptiles where they are kept in an enclosure designed and built similar to the natural habitat of the reptiles. Apart from the crocodiles, explore the farm where other fascinating animals such as the bear cats, civets, deer, pythons & etc are found in the stated of Sarawak.

Lunch is provided. After lunch, proceed to visit ANNAH RAIS BIDAYUH LONGHOUSE. Bidayuh, the second largest ethnic group in Sarawak, is formerly known as the ‘Land Dayak’ and was once also known as the ‘Engineer of Bamboo’. When making a visit to the Bidayuh longhouse, you will be able to see the splendid architecture of their longhouse, which were built mostly by bamboo. Annah Rais is one of the most famous Bidayuh longhouse in Sarawak, which located about 100 km east from Kuching City and quite close to the Indonesian border. The excursion will take about one and a half-hour on the road. During your visit, you will see the villagers doing their daily chore like rice pounding and winnowing, basket and mat weaving, bamboo carving, etc. You will be brought into the most unique and important structure, the ‘Baruk’ or the head house, which situated in the middle of the longhouse. Enemy once used this as a fort to protect the whole village from being attack. Inside the ‘Baruk’, you will be able to view the real human skulls hanging around the fire place in the middle and the also their sacred war drum.

Enroute stop over at SARAWAK POTTERY FACTORY. You will be fascinated by the delicate and creative work involves by the skillful artists. This is a chance for you to get a typical Sarawak ceramic and native handicraft or “must buy items” to bring back as a souvenir or gifts for friends, family members or personal collection. After tour, transfer back to the Hotel for overnight.

Day 03 Departure – Kuching Airport (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and free at leisure until check out from the hotel and transfer to Kuching International Airport for your departure flight.
